Writing in the Time of Covid
Join ShoutOut Saugerties the weekend of Oct. 16th and 17th as we celebrate the power of the written word to get us through hard times. This era of devastation, contentiousness, and short attention spans provides the perfect backdrop for short form writing. This weekend you can tell your own stories in as little as six words or 17 syllables.
Sat. Oct. 16, 1:00-2:30 pm - Fellowship Hall, Reformed Church, 173 Main St.
Flash Fiction Workshop
Flash fiction, defined as a story of six to 1,000 words, is the perfect medium to experiment, push boundaries, and generally reinvent. Learn to tell a story in as little as six words or 17 syllables.
Award-winning flash fiction writer and novelist Jan Alexander will lead a series of exercises using prompts from dreams, news, artwork, quotes, or even what you had for breakfast.
Enrollment limited to 12. Register through Eventbrite, https://writing-in-the-time-of-covid.eventbrite.com
