Cinema Alive: Our Latin Thing (Nuestra Cosa Latina); 1972, directed by Leon Gast

This 1972 documentary directed by Leon Gast is about the burgeoning Latin music scene in New York City. It focuses on a concert put together by the management of Fania Records, the leading salsa music record label at that time, at Manhattan's Cheetah nightclub. Featuring the Fania All Stars, considered some of the era’s best Latin Music performers in the world. 

The film will be introduced by Meira Blaustein, Executive Director of the Woodstock Film Festival.

Bring blankets and chairs to sit when not dancing, and please wear a mask if not vaccinated.
