Lisa A. Phillips is the author of Unrequited: The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Romantic Obsession. Her essays and journalism on what she calls the “love and heartbreak beat” have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Psychology Today, and other outlets. She’s working on a new book about first romantic relationships. She teaches journalism at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Bruce Weber is a poet and historian of American art. He is the author of six books of poetry, most recently, There Are Too Many Words in My House. For twenty-years Bruce organized the Alternative New Year’s Day Spoken Word/Performance Extravaganza in NYC, now in the Hudson Valley.

Elana Bell is a poet, sound practitioner, and creative guide. Her debut collection of poetry, Eyes, Stones (LSU Press 2012), received the 2011 Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets,. The silky noodles made to slide
down your throat, the thick
liquid, egg halved with the yolk
left runny. The crunch of bamboo
shoots and fresh scallions. Steam
