Theater of Wonder (TOW) : A new 2022 ShoutOut program
TOW is theater of astonishing, touching, miraculous plays for young audiences and openhearted adults. It aims to produce plays with music, movement, and ecologically conceived, minimalist costumes, sets, and props, in collaboration with artists from various mediums.
What’s Buggin’ Greg tells the story of fifth-grader Greg Samsa who wakes up one morning to discover that he has turned into a giant cockroach. How can he face his schoolmates? Can he still perform the lead in his school play? Or is he doomed to be a science exhibit for the rest of his life? Inspired by Franz Kafka and Shakespeare, the comedy is recommended for ages 7 and older. Winner of the Macy’s New Play Prize.
