Internationally renowned violinist Lara St. John will play a program of women composers and works by Bach in concert on March 26 at the Reformed Church of Saugerties. St. John was invested with the Order of Canada in 2020 by the Governor General of Canada. She performs on the 1779 “Ex-Salabue” Guadagnini.

The concert will benefit development of a new opera, Penelope and the Geese, a feminist retelling of the Odyssey, by composer Milica Paranosic and librettist Cheri Magid.
